September 27
i can’t believe it’s almost October. but it’s been a good month, all in all. i should probably have taken more pictures, but that’s ok. i was plenty busy with my virtual presence and design stuff. so....this is what i have been up to the last few days
Toronto Etsy Street Team
as i wrote before, i was disappointed with the lack of an Etsy community in Toronto compared to other cities. maybe that’s because the Toronto art&craft community is so vast, quite connected and dynamic already, while in other places people feel more isolated and in need of developing online networks. either way, Etsy does seem like a good place for people who might be interested in my stuff to find me. it’s definitely generated more interest in my work from strangers than any other source (including my show). anyways, i have been organizing/coordinating a Toronto team. and anyone who does any craft, art or DIY goodness in Toronto is more than welcome to join. here are a few things you might want to check out:

Twitter: http://twitter.com/TorontoEtsyST

and if you want to join, send me a message on Etsy (i am anotherangle)
MySpace
i revamped my MySpace page. again, i am really only using it to connect with other artists (mostly musicians) that i admire or adore. but it does seem to be a good place to get a little attention. i measured, edited and planned and my final result looks pretty good; it ends up showcasing my Artifacts, which is kinda nice (there is one artifact here not yet posted, if you want a sneak peek). you can see what i’ve done here:

Artifacts
the style/design of the artifacts has been changing. i mostly love the last two. you can check them out HERE and HERE.
other stuff
i saw Diamond Rings on thursday night. wow. he embodied the term ‘Next Big Thing’. there is only one song on his MySpace page and it’s not even my favourite. the page is HERE. keep an eye out for him.
i also ran across this video with Final Fantasy / Owen Pallet that i had never seen. it gave me chills and maybe, just maybe brought a tear to my eye. see it HERE.
next weekend is Nuit Blanche. love it. gonna be lots of photo opportunities for sure.
